Introduction

Thanks to Electric's standardized Onboarding and Offboarding Request Forms, customers can initiate hiring or termination tasks for employees in a manner of minutes. This service helps ensure the timely, accurate, and confidential* execution of your requests; setting up new hires for success and removing terminated employees from your IT environment as efficiently as the situation warrants.

Onboarding Service Overview

Below is a high-level description of the services provided when you use Electric to onboard your employees.

Account Creation and Access

Provision user accounts or licenses for Electric-managed applications, calendars, email groups, and communications as specified by the Company Configurations in your Turbine account.

Domestic Procurement

Electric will help procure the device(s) requested for each onboarding on behalf of your company. This is accomplished in accordance with your company's standardized procurement configurations as well as those indicated on the request form.

Device Provisioning

Electric will set up new devices from scratch or will wipe and re-provision existing devices. This can be performed remotely for customers with our Core Package or, for all customers, ahead of the new hire's start date at Electric HQ.

Coordination of Device Shipping

Once devices are provisioned and ready to go, Electric will ship them to the end-user. Whether they’re working on-site at an office location or from home, as long as they're in the United States, we’ll make sure your employees receive their device!

Offboarding Service Overview

Below is a high-level description of the services provided when you use Electric to onboard your employees.

Access Termination

During offboarding, Electric will ensure that departing employees have their access to tooling including (but not limited to) email, company calendars, chat, and more revoked as quickly as possible.

Device De-Provisioning

When a new offboarding request is opened, the request form will automatically pull in all devices assigned to the email address of the employee designated in the request. From there, the Offboarder can ask Electric to lock, wipe, or remove the device management software from the device.

Device Collection

During offboarding, Electric can arrange shipping for the departing employee's device. When the offboarding request form is completed, the Offboarder can request to have the device shipped to Electric for storage or to your office location.

Additional costs will be incurred for device storage at Electric.
