Microsoft Intune Device Management Integration

Introduction

Electric now integrates directly with Microsoft Intune. If your organization manages devices through Intune, those company-owned devices can sync automatically into Electric, eliminating manual data entry and keeping your device inventory accurate.

Once connected, Electric keeps your Devices list up to date automatically: new and existing Intune devices appear without manual import and admins can lock or remotely wipe a device directly from Electric.

Device Sync

Once Microsoft Intune is connected, Electric automatically imports your company-owned Intune devices and keeps them up to date:

• Quick sync (every 15 minutes): picks up new or changed devices since the last check, so your Devices list stays current.

• Full sync (hourly): performs a complete review of your Intune tenant, catching anything the quick syncs may have missed and updating the status of devices no longer present in Intune.

• Matching logic: if a device already exists in Electric, Electric matches it by serial number and updates the existing record rather than creating a duplicate.

Lock & Wipe

Admins can remotely wipe an Intune-managed device directly from Electric, without switching to the Microsoft Intune console. On Mac devices, admins can also lock the device instead of wiping it. Lock is not available for Windows devices; Windows devices support wipe only.

The request is sent to Microsoft immediately, and Electric monitors the request until the action is confirmed complete, so the device status shown in Electric stays accurate.

Instructions

Connecting Microsoft Intune to Electric

1. Log in to Electric.

2. Select Applications in the left menu.

3. Find and Select Microsoft Intune from the list.

4. Click the Actions button and select Connect Microsoft Intune Integration.

5. You'll be redirected to Microsoft to sign in as an admin and grant consent. Review the permissions and approve.

6. The connection is complete. Your Intune devices will appear in Electric within the next sync cycle.

A few things to note:

• You'll need admin rights in both Electric and Microsoft Intune to complete this connection.

• If you decline consent on the Microsoft screen, the connection won't be made.
