UKG - How to link your account

Introduction

Tired of manual onboarding checklists and device requests falling through the cracks? Electric integrates directly with UKG Ready to automate IT onboarding, offboarding, and device management—so your HR team doesn’t have to chase down laptops or revoke app access manually.

By syncing employee data from UKG Ready into the Electric IT Hub, you can kick off the entire IT lifecycle automatically—assigning laptops, provisioning apps, and triggering secure offboarding tasks the moment changes happen in your HR system.

UKG Ready Integration Overview

Electric’s direct integration with UKG Ready allows you to:

• Automatically sync new hires, terminations, and role changes

Instructions

Connecting Your UKG Ready Account to Electric

1. Get your Company URL

   1. Open UKG Application on your browser

   2. Check the URL section in your browser
      

      

   3. In this example the URL value of your organization would be:
      https://secure5.us.rdy.ukg.dev

   4. Securely store this value for step 5. 

2. Create a Security Group for Electric

   1. Go to Settings -> Profile / Policies -> Security.

   2. Click on “NEW SECURITY PROFILE”

   3. Set up a Security Profile for the integration (see this PDF: SecurityProfiles_electric.pdf )

   4. Name the Security Profile “Electric” or any name that represents the integration

   5. Remember the Security Profile name for the next step.

3. Create an OAuth2 Application

   1. Go to Settings -> Global Setup -> Company Setup

   2. Under OAuth Applications, click on “ADD OAUTH APPLICATION”

      1. If this section is not shown, go to “Edit Tabs” for displaying it.

   3. Complete the fields for the new application as shown below: 
      
      

      

      For groups select “All Company Employees”
      

      

      
      

   4. Click on “GENERATE SECRET”

   5. Securely store your Client ID and Secret for step 5

   6. Click on “Save”

4. Get your Company Short Name

   1. Go to Settings -> Global Setup -> Company Setup

   2. Click on “Company Info”

   3. Scroll until “Company Address”

   4. See “Company Short Name”

   5. Securely store this value for step 5

5. Log into the Electric IT Hub at http://my.electric.ai .

   1. Access the top-right dropdown menu.
      

      

   2. Click on “Settings”
      

      

      
      

   3. Click on “Integrations”
      

      

   4. Click on the kebab menu on the UKG Card and select “Connect Integration”

      

   5. Enter all the required information. 
      

      

Host/URL of Instance The URL value fetched in step 1.

Client Id The Client Id value created in step 3.

Client Secret The Secret value created in step 3.

Company Short Name The Name value fetched in step 4.

6. Click on “Connect”

   1. Once authorized, your employee data will begin syncing

   2. Changes in UKG Ready will now automatically trigger IT workflows inside Electric:

      • New hires can be assigned hardware, granted app access, and tracked from day one

      • Terminations trigger automatic app deprovisioning, device locking/wiping, and laptop retrieval

      • Department or title changes sync in real time for accurate application access and reporting

7. Visit People → Active Employees to manage your employees.

Disconnecting UKG Ready

To disconnect the integration:

1. Log into the Electric IT Hub

2. Navigate to Settings > Integrations

3. Click UKG Ready

4. Select Disconnect
