Electric Device Management | Available Jumpcloud MDM Application Deployments

Only available to customers on the Pro plan using Electric Device Management

As part of our zero-touch provisioning experience, Electric is able to automatically install a set of supported core applications on company-owned devices during MDM enrollment.

This means when an employee enrolls their device into Jumpcloud MDM or receives a new device that is configured with zero-touch provisioning the apps are installed automatically, without anyone needing to manually setup the device or the employee needing to install anything themselves.

  • Windows Devices: learn more about zero-touch provisioning for Windows here.

  • Apple Devices:

    • If you have yet to complete your Apple zero-touch provisioning configuration, please follow our guide here to complete pre-requisites and kickoff the configuration process.

    • If you have completed set up of Apple zero-touch provisioning but have yet to request any supported apps be deployed, please review the details below.

Supported applications

At this time, zero-touch application deployment is available for the applications below. These apps can be installed automatically once a device enrolls in Jumpcloud MDM—simply send an email to support@electric.ai with your requested list and we will configure those for you in Jumpcloud MDM.

Missing an app? Let either your Customer Success Manager or our support team know and we will explore deployment options!

Once you have submitted your request along with any required details for specialty apps below, please allow 2-4 business days for full app deployment.

Drata

Important: To complete a Drata deployment you will need to obtain an API key from Electric Jumpcloud to paste into your Drata console. This API Key is unique to each Admin, and therefore you will need to be granted Admin access to the Electric Jumpcloud portal and sign an addendum.

Please contact your CSM or support@electric.ai to begin this process.

Drata makes use of Electric’s Default Security Policies and does not require any extra configuration on your end. The policies are:

Windows:

  • BitLocker Full Disk Encryption

  • Configure Windows Updates

  • Lock Screen

Mac:

  • FileVault 2

  • Lock Screen

  • Automatic macOS Updates (under Patch Management for Premium users) or Software Update Preferences (under Device Policies)

If you have questions for where to find or configure your Drata configuration, please contact Drata support.

Oneleet

Important: To complete a Oneleet deployment you will need to obtain an API key from Electric Jumpcloud to paste into your Oneleet console. This API Key is unique to each Admin, and therefore you will need to be granted Admin access to the Electric Jumpcloud portal and sign an addendum.

Please contact your CSM or support@electric.ai to begin this process.

While Oneleet does have an agent that can be installed locally on the machine, Jumpcloud requires that it be a .msi file (Windows) or .pkg file (Mac) that is sourced specifically from the customer’s Oneleet admin portal. Please provide this file to Electric support when submitting your request to deploy Oneleet.

If you have questions for where to find or configure your Oneleet settings, please contact Oneleet support.
