Add More Contracted Base Plan Licenses

Introduction

Electric lets admins power up their plan in seconds, right from the product. Whether you are mid onboarding or want to proactively increase your contracted license count, you can add licenses yourself and keep your team moving without missing a beat.

No tickets. No waiting. Just a quick charge up and you are back in business.

Feature Details

Self-serve license increases are built into multiple places in Electric, so wherever you run into a limit, the fix is never far away. However you get there, every path leads to the same simple Add licenses modal, where you can increase your license count, agree to the terms, and confirm. Changes take effect immediately and will be reflected in your next billing cycle.

HR Onboardings

If you are trying to onboard an employee from your HR system, a banner will appear on your onboarding screen letting you know you are out of licenses. You can click Add licenses right from there and keep the onboarding moving without starting over.

Instructions

  1. If you see the License limit has been reached banner while onboarding an employee, click Add licenses.

  2. Enter the number of additional licenses needed.

  3. Check the box to agree to the MSA.

  4. Click Add licenses to confirm.

  5. Continue the onboarding flow right where you left off.

Manually Adding Employees

If you try to add to manually add an employee all your contracted licenses are used, Electric will let you know right away with a License limit reached modal. From here you can jump straight into adding more licenses or reach out to support if you would rather talk it through.

Instructions:

  1. When the License limit reached modal appears, click Add licenses.

  2. Enter the number of additional licenses you would like to add.

  3. Check the box to agree to the MSA.

  4. Click Add licenses to confirm.

  5. You are all set. Your new licenses are active right away.

Billing Settings

Want to get ahead of the curve before you hit a wall? Head to Billing, then the Subscription tab. Under your Electric Base Plan, you will find a plus icon next to your current license count. Click it any time to add licenses proactively.

Instructions

  1. Click Billing in the settings menu.

  2. Select the Subscription tab.

  3. Next to your Electric Base Plan, click the plus icon (+) next to the license count.

  4. Enter the number of additional licenses you would like to add.

  5. Check the box to agree to the MSA.

  6. Click Add licenses to confirm.

  7. Your license count updates immediately, ready whenever you need it.
