What does a CDW quote look like?

Learn what to look for in a CDW quote and how to tell that it's from Electric.

Introduction

Electric uses a third party integration to send quotes and process procurement orders through CDW. Quotes will be delivered to the designated hardware approver via email and the approver will be expected to approve or reject the quote. This article will tell you how to identify an Electric quote and what information is included in the email.

Identify an Electric Quote

CDW quotes from Electric will have the following email sender and subject:

Subject: “Please slack Electric AI with any questions APPROVAL NEEDED: Quote ######## from Electric AI requires your approval.”

Information Included on the Quote

Attached to the email will be a PDF that includes the following information:

The “Sold To” section will contain:

  • Address the item(s) will be shipped to, please confirm that this is accurate.

  • The name of the person the quote was sent to (Shipping Contact Name).

  • The email address the quote was sent to (Shipping Email Address).

  • The phone number of the person the quote was sent to (Shipping Phone).

  • The name of the recipient the packages will be addressed to (Attention).

  • The “Bill To” section will display the information Electric has on file for payment location and contact.

The middle section of the quote will detail the item(s) that were requested including quantity, who submitted the request, who the equipment is being purchased for, price per item, and the total per line. Total of the order will be shown at the bottom of this section as “Order Total”.

The last part of the quote will display Electric’s Terms and Conditions.
