CDW Procurement Process

Learn how to partner with Electric to procure non-Apple products for your employees.

Updated over a week ago

Introduction

Requests for non-Apple products will be managed by Electric via CDW. Electric cannot purchase items through a customer's existing CDW account, we must use ours. This article will breakdown the ordering process, timelines, and provide information about returns.

Ordering Process

Procurement requests for non-Apple equipment will be processed through CDW. These requests will then be submitted to a designated contact(s) at your company for approval prior to the order being executed by Electric.

Quotes will be delivered to the designated contact(s) via email. The email will contain a link that enables the recipient to approve or reject the quote. If needed, Electric can provide additional documentation on how designated contacts can approve these quotes. Once the quote is approved, the order will be processed by Electric. Quotes that are approved after 5:30 PM EST will be processed the following business day.

Reminder emails for non-Apple quotes that have not been approved or rejected will be sent out every day until they are actioned or withdrawn.

Shipping and Delivery Timelines

The following section outlines the average delivery times for Non-Apple Product procurement requests. Device shortages or delays in manufacturing may cause these estimates to vary. Average delivery times are subject to change at any time and are provided for general informational purposes only.

  • In-stock equipment carries an average delivery time of 3-5 business days from the date the quote is approved and payment is provided.

  • Equipment that is on backorder will not have an estimated time of arrival (ETA) but will ship as soon as it is back in stock.

This timeframe is not inclusive of the time required for Electric to provision the device for the employee.

CDW Returns

If an order requires a return, Electric will supply a printable return shipping label if the item is defective or damaged in transit, via email (via logistics@electric.ai). If there is no damage/defect, Electric charges $40 for accessories/peripherals, $110 for computers/monitors. If the return fee is approved, a printable return shipping label will be supplied via email. Funds should be returned within two weeks of the order cancellation (prior to shipping) or after the returned item is received and processed by CDW.

Alternatively, customers have the option to initiate a device return to CDW and forgo assistance from Electric. In this scenario, Electric is unable to provide any information regarding shipment tracking or refund status.
