Acceptable vs. Unacceptable Laptops for Storage at Electric

Updated over a week ago

Introduction

Beyond the general requirements of Electric's Device Storage service, there are best practices that should be followed when it comes to the condition of a device that is being returned to Electric for storage.

If a device is received in a physical/non-working condition that is deemed unacceptable by these standards, Electric may have to return the device to its sender. In these scenarios, shipping an handling fees would be billed to the customer.

Acceptable Laptops

Acceptable laptops for storage are those that are clean, show only light wear, and function properly.

Unacceptable Laptops

Unacceptable devices are those with glitching or damaged screens, damaged keyboards (or mouse pads, ports, etc.) modified surfaces (keyboards, stickers), or a device that is returned in an unsanitary condition. Examples of each are provided below.
