Helpful Links in the Electric User Hub

Learn how to utilize the Helpful Links page to make it easier for your employees to find the resources and applications they need.

Introduction

The Helpful Links page in the Electric User Hub enables Turbine Users with the Super Admin or Admin roles to set up a list of shortcuts to websites, applications, and other resources commonly used by employees. This is a feature of the Electric User Hub that is available to all Core and Basic package customers.

Once configured by your Admin(s), the Helpful Links page will offer a more efficient experience for your employees by placing the tools they use most frequently alongside their IT support resource. Keep reading this article to learn how to create, modify, and remove Helpful Links.

How to Configure Helpful Links

Expand the section(s) below based on the process that you are interested in learning about. Please note, while all Electric Hub Users can view Helpful Links; you must have Super Admin or Admin access to configure Helpful Links for your company.

Create Helpful Links

  1. Sign in to the Electric User Hub.

  2. Click on Helpful Links on the platform navigation toolbar. This will take you to the Helpful Links page.

  3. Click on the Add a Link button. A new window will appear.

  4. Enter the Title, URL, and a Description for the new link.

  5. Click Save. The window will close.

  6. This completes the process. At this stage, you should see the new link on the Helpful Links page.

Modify Helpful Links

  1. Sign in to the Electric User Hub.

  2. Click on Helpful Links on the platform navigation toolbar. This will take you to the Helpful Links page.

  3. Find the tile for the link that you want to modify. Click the three vertical dots in the corner of the tile, select Edit from the dropdown.

  4. Update the Title, URL, and Description for the link as needed.

  5. Click Save.

  6. This completes the process. At this stage, all updates should be reflected on the Helpful Links page.

Remove Helpful Links

  1. Sign in to the Electric User Hub.

  2. Click on Helpful Links on the platform navigation toolbar. This will take you to the Helpful Links page.

  3. Find the tile for the link that you want to modify. Click the three vertical dots in the corner of the tile, select Delete from the dropdown.

  4. A new window will appear and you will be asked to confirm the requested action. To proceed with removing the link, click Save.

    1. If you need to cancel the request, click Cancel instead.

  5. This completes the process. At this stage, you should not see the removed link on the Helpful Links page any more.

Electric cannot configure the Helpful Links page on behalf of a customer; it must be managed by an internal administrator with a Super Admin or Admin Turbine Role.
