Introduction
Perimeter81 is a cloud-based Secure Network as a Service Provider that helps to increase security for today's modern and distributed workforces, giving companies of all sizes the power to be fully mobile and confidently cloud-based. This article will explain what Perimeter81 is, the value it can provide to Electric's customers, and how Electric can help with the implementation of it for companies like yours.
Perimeter81 Overview
Perimeter81, a Secure Network as a Service provider, is comprised of four different components.
Unified Cloud Management Platform with which IT personnel can manage their team, network and permissions, and monitor network activity. The platform offers Single Sign-On (SSO) integration, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), and mobile support.
Multi-tenant Cloud where multiple networks can be created and segmented based on different permissions. Networks can be interconnected with centrally based office and native firewalls, or to cloud services through IP whitelisting.
Easy-to-use agents that can be installed on either mobile or laptop devices. This offers your employees single-click access to any local network or cloud-based resource while providing a unified security experience - regardless of their location.
Zero trust, agent-less application access which employs multi-layered user trust and device trust policy validation that will authorize employees before granting them access to applications. This secures your network, employees, and applications.
Who can benefit from Perimeter81?
Perimeter81 is well-suited for a number of different companies, if one or more of the following applies to your company, talk to your Customer Success Manager about enabling Perimeter81:

Any company with an existing VPN software.
Companies with International locations.

What value does Perimeter81 provide?
Enables Remote Access so Employees can connect from multiple devices, from various locations, at any time - day or night!
Secures the Cloud because, although your cloud provider offers network infrastructure, it does not address access point security into your network. It's up to you to ensure the access to your cloud environment is secure.
Encrypts Transmitted Data to ensure that all transmitted data, regardless of device or location, is completely encrypted and that only authorized connections are established.
Scalability thanks to a cloud-enabled VPN that enables customers to easily and securely onboard new employees with access to company network and other resources, regardless of location.
Always on VPN to help protect company data from temporary exposure in the event of a broken connection.
