Learn how Electric's device management technology will help ensure your company's workstations remain up to date and secure.

Updated over a year ago

Introduction

Electric deploys device management to ensure that your company's Electric supported devices remain up to date with the software and security tools needed to fend off viruses and other security vulnerabilities.

The device management program installed on your company’s devices is dependent on the device manufacturer, either Kaseya (Windows) or JamfPro (Mac). Keep reading to learn more about device management.

Device Management Tooling

Electric's Device Management offering is powered by best-in-class technology including JamfPro, a MDM solution for Macs, and Kaseya, an RMM solution for PCs. MDM (Mobile Device Management) and RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) technology allows us to provide you with visibility into your device suite health, maintain up-to-date security policies, and provide troubleshooting support in the event of an issue.

How Device Management Technology is Used

Electric uses device management technology to remotely access your device and provide you with the best, most streamlined IT support possible.

Why remote access? We are your IT support provider, you shouldn’t need to perform advanced troubleshooting on your device yourself! We can remotely access your computer to take the burden off of you when an IT issue occurs.

Electric will always ask for your permission before accessing your device. For quality assurance purposes, all Electric remote sessions are recorded.

Why Device Management is Needed

Device management technology helps Electric proactively update your device and/or troubleshoot concerns with the least amount of friction. Because device management software enables Electric to remotely access your device, we can help troubleshoot computer crashes, error messages, and slow processing no matter where your employees work.

Benefits of Device Management

As mentioned previously, MDM technology helps Electric to keep your device up to date and troubleshoot issues in a timely, streamlined manner. Here are some examples of what device management technology can help Electric do:

  • Deliver software updates to endpoint computers.

  • Automatically install company-required applications.

  • Maintain real-time status of devices (includes installed apps and configurations).

  • Monitor device health indicators and apply corrective actions when required.

  • Keep company data safe in the event of a lost or stolen computer.

  • Roll-out security standards to your company.

Privacy Statement

Device management technology does not, at any time, provide access to your files, keychains, or anything of sensitive or personal nature (including your internet browser history). Remote access to your device is never available to Electric unless we first get permission, and we welcome you to observe us throughout the duration of your remote session.
