Learn how to partner with Electric to procure Apple devices for your employees.

Introduction

Requests for Apple products will be managed by Electric via your company's Apple Custom Store portal. This article will highlight the ordering process, timelines, and provide information about returns.

Ordering Process

Products will be facilitated through your company’s Apple Custom Store portal. Upon receipt of the procurement request, Electric will create a proposal to a contact designated by your company. This person is responsible for reviewing the proposal and converting it into an order in your Apple Custom Store themselves.

When Electric sends a proposal, you’ll find following information included in the comments section:

  • Who (at your company) requested the item

  • Who (at your company) the requested items are intended for

  • Who (at your company) approved the request

  • The address that the equipment should be shipped to

  • The item(s) requested for purchase

Again, Proposals must be converted to orders by the designated contact at your company or the order will not be placed. Electric will send automatic reminders via email for outstanding proposals; if no update is made within 15 days, the proposal will be canceled. The best way to avoid delays and/or expedited shipping costs is to convert proposals to orders as soon as possible.

Shipping and Delivery Timelines

The following section outlines the average delivery times for Apple Product procurement requests*. Device shortages or delays in manufacturing may cause these estimates to vary. Average delivery times are subject to change at any time and are provided for general informational purposes only.

Apple computers that do not have any customization added to the baseline version (e.g. change of processor, RAM, SSD size, video card, etc.) have an average delivery time of 2-3 weeks from the date that the proposal is converted into an order and payment is provided.

Customized computers that have hardware components modified from the baseline version have an average delivery time of 1-3 weeks from the date that the proposal is converted into an order and payment is made.

Electric cannot specify a shipping method when submitting a proposal. If alternate shipping methods are available, you will have the option to select them when you convert the proposal to an order in the Apple Custom Store.

*Device provisioning is not accounted for in these estimates.

Apple Returns

Orders are executed through the customer’s Apple Custom Store portal, therefore returns must be processed by the customer’s designated purchaser.
