What Happens After an Offboarding Request is Submitted?

Learn what to expect after you submit an offboarding request.

Updated over a year ago

The nature of an Offboarding Request will determine what happens between request submission and the employee’s final date of employment.

If there is a hardware request involved with the offboarding, Electric’s Hardware Lab will coordinate a device return and de-provisioning based on details specified in the offboarding request.

If there is not a hardware request involved with the offboarding, Electric will begin the offboarding process on the date and time specified in the request.

If you opted-in for email notifications, you or the person designated on the offboarding request will receive an offboarding notification 10 minutes before offboarding and/or when offboarding is completed. Notifications received are based on selections made by the offboarder at the time of the request.

Access to Email and Chat will be disabled at the time specified in the offboarding request. Access to the user’s Electric-supported applications will be disabled subsequently.
