This article describes how Electric can support security controls and compliance for your company.

Introduction

Electric can provide security controls and management at the device, application, and network level. This ensures your Electric-supported devices and business systems remain secure no matter where they are being accessed.

Security controls are administered through a combination of visibility and management tools as services rendered by Electric’s team of IT technicians.

Security Service Features

Installation of mobile device management onto Electric-supported devices

This includes software license fees, setup, and deployment of either Jamf Pro (Macs) or Kaseya (PCs) to all company-owned Mac & Windows PC devices.

Deploy baseline security policies on all MDM-enrolled devices

These policies include disk encryption (FileVault for Macs or BitLocker for PCs), OS Patching, enabling OS built-in firewall, installation protection, password complexity, and idle screen lock. Learn what these baseline policies are here.

Implement two-factor authentication (2FA/MFA)

Upon request, Electric will help enforce two-factor authentication across all users in your Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or other 3rd party supported apps. Additional fees may apply.

Deploy and maintain network security controls

Upon request, Electric can set up complex passwords, firewall rules, and manage VPNs for Electric-supported networks equipment.

The deployment/maintenance of Network Security Controls is available to any customer that adds Network & Server Management to their Core Package ($). Contact your Customer Success Manager to find out if this service is included with your contract or to update your subscription.

Security Management via Turbine

Some security components can be managed directly from Electric's platform, Turbine. Learn more about these features here.

Support for Security Questionnaires/Audits

Electric can support your company with Security Questionnaires/Audits for an additional fee. These requests are considered specialized IT projects and will be billed on top of your standard Electric subscription.

Support that Electric can provide in this area includes:

  • Assist with the completion of security questionnaires as it relates to Electric-supported devices, applications, and networks.

  • Assist with the collection of evidence for security audits as it relates to Electric-supported devices, applications, and networks.
