Security Management in Turbine

Learn how easy it can be to monitor and improve security for your company via Turbine.

Introduction

In addition to the default security controls that Electric can support, some can be managed by you in Turbine. Below are the capabilities you have to monitor and improve security for your company.

Turbine Security Tools

IT Scorecard

Provides an overall IT environment health score based on security policy compliance across your devices and Electric-supported collaboration suite (i.e. Google Workspace or Microsoft 365). The score is accompanied by an easy to digest list of gaps in security that allow you to know exactly what actions to take to close those gaps.

Device Health Status

Filter your device inventory by health status to zero in on the devices that may be at risk for a security breach. This filter includes the ability to see all devices that are not in compliance with firewall. Easily see which devices are not checking into their device management platform or are not reporting data back to Turbine so you can take action.

Remotely Assign / Unassign Devices

Pair an Electric-supported user with an Electric-supported device directly in Turbine. If a user departs or a device is now being used by a different employee, you can easily reassign the device.

Remotely Lock & Unlock Devices

In the event of a device-related emergency (ex. sudden termination or device loss) you can lock your device directly in Turbine under the Device Management section, limiting the risk of a security breach. Once the device emergency is resolved, you can then unlock that device with the same in-platform capabilities.

Manage Access and Permissions

On the Company Configuration page of your Turbine account you will be able to dictate which of your internal teams should be given access to specific calendar groups, email groups, chat communication channels, applications, and hardware types. This ensures that requests are made in accordance with your desired configurations.

Manage Application Administration Settings

Tell Electric which applications you’d like us to manage vs. those you’d like an internal administrator to manage and who that administrator is. These settings can be managed and changed at any time within your Turbine account. This way, if a request comes in for a non-Electric supported application, we can ensure that it is routed to the correct administrator for management.
