Electric IT Hub | Device Disk Space

If the IT Hub is reporting that your device is low on disk space, you may have to free up space to ensure your device can continue functioning properly.

Disk space helps computers perform system functions, run applications, and manage memory use with optimum speed and efficiency.

Mac Devices

You can follow these instructions from Apple: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206996 .

You may encounter small discrepancies between the usage reported by IT Hub, and disk utility or the storage screen in settings.

Make sure to let the storage tool run at least a minute or so to get an accurate data usage report. This may take longer if you have an older device or depending on the type of storage your computer use.

To access the storage screen, you can use Command–Space bar to open Spotlight, then type “Storage” then press return.
