Introduction

Mobile Device Management (MDM) is essential for maintaining the security and efficiency of your organization's IT infrastructure. It enables centralized management and monitoring of all devices, ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.

By implementing MDM, we can remotely manage device configurations, deploy software updates, and enforce security protocols, reducing the risk of data breaches and unauthorized access. Your organization will be using JumpCloud as its MDM solution, providing robust features like remote lock and wipe and comprehensive security policy enforcement. JumpCloud ensures device compliance, protects sensitive information, and maintains operational efficiency, making it a pivotal component of your IT strategy.


Enrolling in MDM (~5 minutes)

To enroll in MDM:

  1. Navigate the Electric Desktop application on your work device

  2. Complete the installation of the Electric app (Step 2)

  3. You will be taken to an Enroll in MDM page. Click the ‘Start Enrollment’ button

Once selected, your computer will automatically download JumpCloud MDM

  1. In your downloads folder, double click ‘MDM Enrollment Profile’

  2. Enter your device username and password

  3. Return to the Electric app and click ‘Check if you’re enrolled'

  4. Start using the Electric app!
