Integrate Zoom to leverage Electric's automated workflows within Turbine and streamline IT and HR operations for your company.

Introduction

Whether your company has purchased a Core or Basic package from Electric, you have the option to integrate Zoom with Electric. This integration enables certain Turbine Users to automatically remove user accounts from Zoom and transfer the users meetings and recordings when an employee is offboarded.

This integration requires a Zoom Pro, Business, or Enterprise plan.

Add the Zoom Integration

  1. Sign in to Zoom.

  2. Find the Electric AI app listing in the Zoom App Marketplace.

  3. Click Visit Site to Install.

  4. You'll be redirected to Electric. If you're not currently signed in, sign in.

  5. Click the button to Install the app. You'll be redirected back to Zoom's website.

  6. Click Authorize to give Electric permission to manage user accounts.

Once you've authorized the app, you'll be taken back to Electric. The integration is now enabled and users on your account with access to Turbine will now be able to trigger automated workflows to manage accounts in your Zoom instance.

Using the Zoom Integration

After Zoom is connected to Electric, Turbine Users with offboarder permissions will be able to chose to have the departing employee's account deleted from Zoom. Here's how:

  1. Begin the Offboarding Request for the employee.

  2. When you get to the Offboarding Task list, look for Remove from Zoom.

  3. Click the ✏️ to edit the task and configure the removal settings.

  4. Check the Delete Account box.

  5. Next, you can designate the timing for account removal and transfer Zoom meetings, webinars, and recordings to another employee.*

  6. Click Save when finished and proceed with the remaining fields in the form as applicable to the offboarding.

To deactivate a Zoom account instead of deleting it, uncheck "Delete account" and provide instructions in the additional notes box.

*To remove an account with a Zoom Webinar or Events license, data must be transferred to a user with the same licenses configured.

Remove the Zoom Integration

  1. Sign in to Zoom.

  2. Navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.

  3. Click Manage > Installed Apps or search for the Electric AI app.

  4. Click the Electric AI app.

  5. Click Uninstall.

Even after the app is uninstalled, you will still be able to request for Zoom accounts to be removed when you offboard employees. Requests will be sent to Electric's Service Desk team to handle manually, which may cause the offboarding process to take a little longer.
