New Hire Welcome Email

When a new hire is onboarded, they'll receive a Welcome Email from Electric. See what it looks like here!

Updated over 4 months ago

Introduction

When a new hire is onboarded, Electric will send a Welcome Email to their personal email address that includes their company email credentials so that they can log in to their account for the first time. This helps to streamline the onboarding for your new hire(s), as this access will enable them to begin accepting the invitations they received from the SaaS applications noted on their Onboarding Request.

What to Expect

The Welcome Email will be sent to your new hires within 15-minutes of the time specified on the Onboarding Request. This timing may change in the event the new employee's email has not been created yet, which may be the case if insufficient time was allotted for the onboarding request. In this scenario, the Welcome Email will be sent as soon as the employee's email has been created.

The Welcome Email will be sent to your new hire's personal email address from automation@electricops.atlassian.net and/or automation@mail-us.atlassian.net. The "reply-to" address is set to support@electric.ai, this ensures any replies for login assistance will be sent to our Service Desk team.

The Onboarding Request will prompt Electric to send a Welcome Email by default. If you do not want to send a Welcome Email to a new hire, you must deselect this option from the Onboarding Request before you submit it to Electric.

Customization

Electric customers have a few options for customizing the Welcome Email for new hires, refer to the list below to learn more.

  • Add information specific to your company to the end of the Welcome Email to appear on all future Welcome Emails.

  • Modify your distribution list to always Copy (Cc:) or Blind Copy (Bcc:) a person(s) on every Welcome Email that is sent to new hires.

If you are interested in implementing these changes on your company's template, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
