Electric IT Hub | Understanding the Asset (Device) Profile

How to Access and Use Detailed Device Information in Electric

Understanding your organization's device details and history is crucial for maintaining security, compliance, and operational efficiency. The asset (device) profile provides comprehensive insights into each device's configuration, activity, and management status.

Why Device Information Matters

Detailed device information helps you:

  • Monitor security compliance by tracking installed software and security policies

  • Troubleshoot issues by reviewing recent device activity and configuration changes

  • Maintain asset inventory with accurate hardware specifications and locations

  • Track device lifecycle from purchase through current status

  • Ensure proper management by verifying MDM connectivity and Electric installation status

Accessing Device Details

Navigate to any device from Device Management or Assets table to access its detailed information page. Each device page contains four main sections accessible via tabs:

  • Details - Core device information and management status

  • Security - Security policies and status

  • History - Complete audit trail of device events

  • Images - Visual device information when available
